Signs that caught our eye

The Catskills

We spent the day enjoying the sights in the land where Rip Van Winkle slept and FDR lived.  

Rock City Falls to Elizaville, NY

Pretty countryside along the way on SR 29, 22, 23, 9, and 8 from Rock City Falls to Elizaville in the Hudson Valley.  We will be here until Friday playing tourist in the Catskill Mountain area.

Sunday drive

We saw some unusal art work, signs, a real flower bed, and horses of all kinds in the area around Saratoga Springs.

Adirondacks

  Saturday, October 9th, we took a ride north into the Adironacks.  The scenery was spectacular.

VT to Rock City Falls, NY Oct 8th

Happy Birthday, Jeff!  The morning was beautifully clear and sunny.  We headed out to Rock City Falls, NY.  It was only about 140 miles, but took us about 6 hours.  We went thru Killington, VT, for the second time on our trip.  This time, we were able to capture a few of the hay sculptures they have through out town, including one of our own in the back of our truck!  We had to double back at Cambridge, NY,  because there was a sign that the underpass was only 11' clearance, and our rig is 12' 6".  I really liked Cambridge...you could just feel the history in the air.  Rock City is just outside of Saratoga Springs.  We will be here over the Columbus Day weekend.
