We stopped for the night at Miles City, Montana, off US 12, at the Big Sky RV Park. As related in a tourist brochure, Miles City has a long history of "saloons, dance halls, bordellos, boarding houses, and general stores that serviced the soldiers, buffalo hunters, bullwackers, muleskinners, cowboys and Indians", and is known as being the largest horse market in the world. Today is the beginning of the "Bucking Horse Sale" festival which will last through Sunday. A steak fry, pie contest, street dance, horse racing, mutton busting, bull riding, sheep shearing, and bronco riding will be part of the festivities. We will be on the road again tomorrow morning, so we will have to catch the fun another time.

  1. Hi Isha,
I was looking in Montana and there is an old town that is a museum that you have to visit. I think that is is Hays. Did you go to the Sky River Ranch? That also looked awesome. Well you take care,
