Over 2500 miles ago, we left Greenville, SC, only to arrive in Greenville, Maine, and ironically, we were in this same neck of the woods 9 years ago, almost to the day. And in the woods, it is! We have a 3 night stay at Moosehead Campground, about a mile from Moosehead Lake. It took us 6 hours to go the 248 miles from Vermont, mostly due to a combination of bumpy roads and small towns, not to mention two wrong turns. Once we set up at our campsite, we treated ourselves to dinner at Kelly's Landing on the lake.
Roscoe has really been enjoying the cool weather...so are we. Temps here are in low 60's...it is still in the 90s in Seneca!
Some canoers brave enough to be out in the chilly air pass by Kelly's Landing.
Seaplanes are a fairly common sight on the lake, and you can also take a tour on one. As much as we'd like to do that, we are going to pass this time around.
I prefer dark beer, but I had to have a Moosehead lager!
