Lakeside Landscape Makeover Feb 1 2019

No road trip adventure this week.  We drove to Tococoa Tuesday to do some shopping, and that in itself is a road trip through the backcountry from Seneca and over the Tugaloo River.  Then on Friday we were invited to The Bobaries to see the changes they've made to their front and back yards.  Everything is not completed yet, but enough has been done to allow your imagination to see how it will look when all the finishing touches take place. Originally we planned to take a maiden voyage on their new pontoon boat, but it was much too cold (temps in the 40's) for that.  But, we enjoyed a great afternoon/evening, nice meal and three games of pinochle (better luck next time guys).
A pathway and rock garden are now in the left front of the house.  A water fountain has been ordered for the back of this space.   Bobby is almost finished with a wood deck that will extend from the front door to the end of the house on right side.
The chain link fenced area in the back yard has been removed and a  fire pit is now in its place.  It will be a great spot to enjoy a cozy fire.
This was taken from the golf cart about half way down to the dock.  The wooden boardwalk was replaced with a concrete path that is not as difficult to walk as before. There will be a garden feature here, too.

Ah, the piece de resistance!  This is certainly not your every day rowboat!  All it needs is a name.
Valerie is showing one of the features...drink holders that can be moved from seat to seat.
Even if it's too cold to be out on the lake, it is never too cold to enjoy some time at the dock.
Especially with nice folks and a view like this.
