Turned onto US 385 at Alliance. Stopped for a little break at this road side rest. Buffalo Gap National Grasslands were to the west of us. We had seen a red neck pheasant and several herds of deer along the way, but too far off to take a picture as we drove by. Black angus and herefords roamed the grasslands. Still no buffalo. Our destination for tonight and the next few days is Custer, SD.
