Monday, June 7, we had planned to take a ride about 25 miles north of us where there is a state park dedicated to the preservation of Bodie, a ghost town. We knew the last 6 miles were on a dirt road, but nothing prepared us for the rutted road that it was until we got there and the sign read, "extremely rough road". We went about 200 yards and decided the jarring wasn't worth the trip, so we turned around and headed back. One different thing along the way, was seeing a sheepherder with his dogs and flock along the road.

We spent the rest of the day going to some of the places north and south of Lee Vining shown in the following photos.

Tomorrow we will be going through Lake Tahoe and Lassen Volcanic National Park on our way to the northern California coast.
