Waterford to Troy was about an hour's ride. Our camp was at Addison Oaks, actually in Leonard, about 17 miles north of nephew Jeff's home. Although that isn't far, it took almost an hour to get there. In addition to the hubbub at the college town of Rochester, shopping centers, housing developments and road construction made for a stop and go drive. We spent a couple of hours with Joe and Bev who were babysitting grandson Jake while Jeff and Kate were at a wedding on Saturday, then returned for a brief visit Sunday morning to see Jeff and Kate, too.
Joe had been out for a stroll with Jake when we got there. Jake just loved Bob's big truck.
