Alexandria Bay - Thousand Islands

From Clayton, we drove to "Alex Bay" about 16 miles east of Clayton.  We stopped to have lunch at the Bonnie Castle Restaurant, and we were the only customers there!  The restaurant is part of a resort located on the river with magnificent views of the St Lawrence,  Heart Island, and Boldt Castle across the water. We hope to take a boat ride to the island tomorrow and tour the castle...weather permitting.

One of the pubs in Alexandria Bay...maybe a stop for next time. With a name like that, it has to be good!
