Thousand Islands to Rock City Falls, NY

Thursday night, I walked down to the river from our campground one more time.  We left 6 am Friday morning and got to Rock City Falls where we will stay for 3 nights.  We are at a rather dumpy mobile home park which has a few spaces for RVs, but it is only 7 miles to Saratoga Springs where the wedding festivities will be, and "the price is right".  We got off I-81 at Watertown and took a scenic route through the Adirondack Mountains.  There are so many lakes in that area.  It took us 6.5  hours, but the scenery was well worth the drive.  Although the sky had dark clouds, there was no rain.
We caught a glimpse of a seaplane landing on Blue Lake.
After stopping at this pulloff, we realized we had stopped and taken a picture at this very spot last October!
Most of the elevations in the Adirondacks are over 3000 feet.
